Welcome to the VYSL
Thank you for visiting the Vallejo Youth Soccer League (VYSL)
VYSL is youth-first and youth focused. We are a soccer organization with happy, healthy kids as our passion. Every decision, every rule and every program has "what's good for kids" as its basis. Every girl and boy stepping on a soccer field for the first time can have fun. VYSL's youth-first approach also makes it a wonderful development program for everyone involved.
Everybody likes to win, but developing successful players and people is what's fundamental in VYSL.
Feel free to take a look around our new website! You can find all the latest on our teams and players as well as what's going on around the league and in our communities.
Our new site is Interactive. Get Involved. Ask your coach about how you can help.

Just to give to all VYSL soccer family that sad news that Tony Freitas passed away yesterday...
All Teams are WINNERS!
Soccer is a great sport! At VYSL, we remember that for every kid that wants to be involved, the activity must be fun for her/him! VYSL provides an abundance of activities and programs for playing soccer and here, in Solano County, it's no exception. Some kids just want a place to play soccer and meet friends, some kids want to become pro! Whatever their dream is VYSL will help them to meet it with great skills and sportsmanship!
The Panteras are the 2009 champs of the Dublin Premier Fall Classic Tournament held over the September 26-27 weekend at the Dublin Sports Grounds.
The U-14 Boys' team also has a reputation of being well-disciplined players both on and off the field at tournaments. Kudos to Coach Sal and his team for representing Vallejo with class!
VYSL Congratulates Its Top-Winning Teams of Last Fall
Nine out of the 17 VYSL teams (over half) finished the Fall '08 season in "medal" standings in their respective flights! We had four 1st-place teams, three 2nd-place teams, and two 3rd place-teams. Congratulations to these players and coaches:
|Vallejo United Wildcats 7||Cesar Pelayo||U19 Boys Class 1 Silver||3rd place||(7-3)|
|Vallejo United Tigres||Sigi Hernandez||U16 Boys Class 3 Silver||2nd place||(7-2-1)|
|Vallejo United Bronze "A"||Jose de la Torre||U16 Boys Class 3 Bronze||2nd place||(5-3-2)|
|Vallejo United Bronze "B"||Alex Morales||U16 Boys Class 3 Bronze||1st place||(8-1)|
|Vallejo Strikers Chivas||Jesus Cruz||U14 Girls Class 3 Gold/Silver||1st place||(9-0)|
|Vallejo United Panteras||Sal Acevedo||U13 Boys Class 1 Bronze||1st place||(10-0)|
|Vallejo Strikers ('96)||Carl Lindemann||U12 Girls Class 3 Gold/Silver||1st place*||(6-1-3)|
|Vallejo United Stompers||Mario Garcia||U11 Boys Class 1 Gold||2nd place||(7-2-1)|
|Vallejo Strikers ('98)||Terry Wilson||U10 Girls Class 3 Gold/Silver||3rd place||(6-4)|
Even though the district awarded medals only to the top two teams in each flight, we acknowledge the 3rd-place finishers as well because the competition was so very close in some divisions. In one instance, two top-three teams had identical records and were separated by only a one-point goal differential over the entire season.

Teams for 2009 won't be finalized until after the tryouts in February/March and the teams are registered. Any teams you see listed here are only tentative until then. We will update the page as coaching/team applications trickle in.
